“Seja paciente com as coisas não-resolvidas
em seu coração…
Tente amar as próprias questões…
Não procure agora as respostas
que não podem ser dadas
pois você não seria capaz
de vivê-las.
E o mais importante,
é viver tudo.
Viva as questões agora.
Talvez você possa, então,
pouco a pouco,
sem mesmo perceber,
Conviver, algum dia distante,
com as respostas.”

Met with friends from Toronto. Had a leisurely lunch at Neue Galerie, chatted, reconnected. Walked to Cooper-Hewitt museum to see the Rococo exhibit - wavy and curly, ornate and feminine, old and new. Very well put together. Miss Rococo blogs, too.
The gift store at C-H is orgasmic…. Then off to the Met Museum store to buy a cane for Opa.

Today’s cultural event included an intricately played and sung performance of Schubert’s Winterreise at Weill Hall in Carnegie Hall. We learnt it was Samuel Beckett’s favorite piece of music, which is not surprising! Mark Padmore was divine, delivering the notes crisply and clearly and beautifully. The jazz pianist Ethan Iverson (from TBP - The Bad Plus jazz group) played each note to its fullest and concisest.

Lisa had her portuguese lesson with Wanda. On skype, as usual. Went smoothly.
Next on the agenda, was a trip down to the West Village to an acquaintance’s apartment (in the old Fleischman factory building). Jennifer Tao came and played piano for us - an hour and a half worth of beautiful music on a Steinway piano by a gifted pianist and a lovely person. There were six of us in attendance. A real treat to hear classical music played privately. I felt like a renaissance person.
Next a brisk walk up to Midtown tennis to have a lesson with Byron. Good workout.
Stop at Brooklyn Industries to check out their sale. Thankfully no money spent.
Home for the rest of the afternoon/eve. Ordered in pizza, watched a french movie “Private Fears in Public Places”. Not bad, except the snow continuity sucked. People came in from the snow, and the snow dust never melted off their coats, and their hair was never coated with snow.
Worked on the puzzle.

I’ve loaded this ap a few months ago onto my MBP (MacBookPro). Yesterday and today I spent “The Idiots Days to Getting the Hang of Quicksilver”. Here are the great links I used to help me out:
Now that you saw it in action, read this link
I hope these are as helpful to you as they were to me. Thanks to Nick Santilli and Dan Dickinson for getting our feet wet!

This gal is great! If you are looking to declutter, unclutter, remove clutter or otherwise get rid of stuff that’s been accumulating over the years, cramping your style, check out my favourite Clutter Removal Consultant, Lisa Reeves.
I’ve seen her at work: she’s caring, efficient, has great rates and gets the job done!
Check her out now! Her clean and uncluttered website is at http://www.clearmyclutter.org.
She works in Manhattan and will consider the tri-state area.

No, seriously, they’re called FUCK. I’m shopping for things to refurbish my apartment. They’re brand name is FUCK. Was this a marketing ploy, or idiocy, or ignorance?

Subtopia’s very excellent article on Squatter Imageries just came to my attention. Dionisio Gonzalez, a spanish photographer, imposed photographs of favelas here in my native São Paulo. The photographs have a something of Gaudí’s work. Check it out.
