More cultcha
Today’s cultural event included an intricately played and sung performance of Schubert’s Winterreise at Weill Hall in Carnegie Hall. We learnt it was Samuel Beckett’s favorite piece of music, which is not surprising! Mark Padmore was divine, delivering the notes crisply and clearly and beautifully. The jazz pianist Ethan Iverson (from TBP - The Bad Plus jazz group) played each note to its fullest and concisest.
